Singles Sparks - CT and NY Matchmaker Insights for Singles - November 9 Edition

Hello LoVers,

Tomorrow morning I take the mic, presenting at the International Matchmaker’s Alliance Conference, speaking on the topic of Events and Authenticity. I’ll be sharing with colleagues how hosting MEANINGFUL events and building AUTHENTIC community can elevate the matchmaking experience for our clients.

Yes, there is a CONFERENCE for LOVE INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS - who knew, right? A large part of the work I do IS collaborative, connecting my clients with other matchmaker’s clients and with singles within their networks. It’s like a whole army of cupids working for YOU! Pretty incredible. Right?

Research shows that it takes less than 10 seconds of real-life interaction for our brains to start forming attraction cues, something that can’t happen over a profile or text. That’s why I’m so passionate about creating opportunities for singles to meet in person wether at events or through curated introductions. It’s the energy, the laughter and the subtle things you just can’t script.

I’ll be presenting alongside many other industry leaders I’ve had the privilege to collaborate with and learn from over the years, sharing best practices and brainstorming ways to best support our clients on their dating journey, ultimately helping more people find their heart’s desire and beautiful, connected partnerships.

Oh and all of this is happening aboard a Virgin cruise! (+200 Matchmakers on a boat for a week… I bet you’d love to be a fly on the wall. It’s been fantastic!) These conferences always leave me bursting with inspo and excitement. I’m honored to be a part of your LOVE LIVES. xo

Something happens, and our brains immediately attempt to make sense of what happened - we instantly ascribe meaning to the event. We silently hypothesize why something occurred, or what motivates people to behave as they do. And here’s the bad news. Much of the time, the stories we tell ourselves about why others behave the way they do are negative.

1. They’ve Stopped Initiating Closeness: Calls, texts, shared plans — none of these feel urgent or important anymore. Shared rituals disappear. No planned dates, no weekend outings, not even those small, spontaneous moments of connection that once came naturally.
