Singles Sparks - Your Weekly Love Link - FEB 16

Writer: Jill DunnJill Dunn

Hello Lovers,

What a week!  So many new singles have joined us this week after catching me live on Thursday on Good Morning CT so wanted to extend a warm WELCOME! Glad you’re here. First things first, GET IN THE FREE DATE-A-BASE! This is the first place I look to make matches for my private matchmaking clients. No brainer! You never know… I just might have your match.

This week, I was helping a new coaching client through a breakup and I shared this sentiment to help him reframe. He found it very helpful so I figured I’d share. Instead of saying “I miss her,” try saying, “I miss how it felt when we fell in love. I miss how it felt before she cheated on me and chose him over me.” Making this small differentiation, correcting your thought pattern will make a drastic difference in how you move through this time. You’ll realize you that you can’t cure your ache for them by getting back together because it is now fundamentally different. So, tuck that in your pocket, and hope you don’t need it again. ;)

Hey, did you catch my interview with Maria, the host of She’s Smart Podcast? Here’s the link. Lots of little gems on communication in dating, and tips for meeting your match.

Our Valentine’s Day event was epic but if you’re looking for a more personalized and private experience, let’s chat. Apologizes in advance that most of my availability this coming week has already been claimed but grab what you can and we’ll get you situated asap.

Jillin’ It LoVe Club members, our member’s only event is coming up on Tuesday 2/25! Check your email for the private link.

In this week’s HOT TOPIC, we’re talking about sharing too much in relationships. Plus, read our TOP 3 ways to respond to ghosting. And don’t miss this week’s funnies at the bottom. Gotta laugh because this dating game is NO JOKE!

Check this week’s Singles Spotlight to see if YOUR match is featured this week. Then, click here to schedule a 10 minute call so I can learn a bit more about you and see if my private and personalized Matchmaking service is right for you.

Big love to you always!

xo,

Jill

Thank you for Spending Valentines Day with Us!

What a night! Over 100 singles came out to play this Valentine’s Day and what a great crowd it was! My heart is so full. Countless connections made and digits exchanged and it just is so beautiful to be in a room with a vibe so high. So, thanks for coming, singles. I love ya! I do. It’s hard to put yourself out there like that but look at you, doing hard things. You’re amazing. 💘

March’s event goes live this week. Stay tuned….

Singles Spotlight: Is SHE Your Match?

Are you a man between the ages of 60 and 74 on the East Coast? Are you understanding, confident, social, and active? Are you good conversationalist with a sense of humor?

If this sounds like you, you may be a good match for my intelligent and intriguing client, W. W is kind, generous, social, honest, and optimistic. She enjoys golf, skiing, tennis, traveling, and movies/theatre. She is a foodie and enjoys dining out and values honest conversation.

HOT TOPIC: Sharing Too Much in Relationships

Have you ever found yourself overwhelmed by intense emotions, dramas, or traumas when talking to your partner? This is what I call "spewing," and it can be quite detrimental to maintaining healthy connections.

TOP 3: Ways to Respond to Ghosting

  1. Recognize that you don’t need to know the reason why ghosting happened to be able to move on. There is a false misconception that closure must come from another person. Their silence speaks volumes, and closure is something you can create for yourself.

  2. Turn the focus on their behavior instead of yours. In the absence of answers, many people who have been ghosted tend to self-blame. Rather than viewing ghosting as a reflection of your worth, ask yourself: What type of person would engage in this behavior? What does it say about their character?

  3. Remove ties from your relationship when ready. Constant reminders of the person who ghosted you via social media, old pictures, or mementos can be detrimental to your healing. Removing ties to the person who ghosted you can help you feel empowered and free you from painful reminders of the past.
