“I am nervous about this date being a fail.” I just got this text message from a Matchmaking client about an upcoming date and believe me, I GET IT!  That is a very common worry. My response: “A date is never a failure! Dating is very much about the journey not just the destination. (Read that again.)” As long as you can keep that mindset, your dating experiences will be much more fulfilling and far less disheartening.

Early dating is about discovery, not decision making. Rather than evaluating someone for long term potential right away, stay curious and focused on how you feel in their presence. The strongest connections are built when you give things time to unfold naturally without rushing the outcome.
