Hello LoVers, Everyone wants the outcome. Few people appreciate the process. But the process isn't just getting you to the relationship... it's preparing you for it. I was thinking about that tonight as I wrapped up a full Saturday. Time with my kids. A challenging inversions workshop at yoga (new for me... and so much fun!). Four-plus hours updating my website and clearing my inbox. And now, well after midnight, sitting down to write this newsletter before it lands in your inbox in just a few hours. It made me realize that building a business and building a relationship are remarkably similar. Neither is built in the big, exciting moments. They're built in the ordinary ones. The workout you almost skipped. The difficult conversation you chose to have. The first date you almost canceled. The profile you almost didn't update. The newsletter you almost didn't write. Small choices, made consistently, because you've committed to something bigger than how you feel in the moment. We celebrate the engagement, the wedding, the successful business, the dream home, the new baby... of course we do. But those are simply the visible results of hundreds of small, often invisible decisions made long before anyone was watching. So if your dating life feels slow right now, don't mistake slow for stuck. Every date, every conversation, every lesson, every moment you choose courage over comfort is another brick in the foundation you're building. When I say the juice is in the journey, I mean it. One day you'll look back and realize the life you were hoping for wasn't built in one defining moment. It was quietly built in all the ordinary days you almost overlooked. If you're ready to stop waiting for love to happen to you and start intentionally building toward it, I'd love to hear your story. The first match I make is between you and your matchmaker. I intentionally don't work with everyone who inquires because I want to know we're the right fit. I need to genuinely believe in your intentions, feel confident I can represent you well, and know that I have the network, strategy, and resources to create meaningful opportunities on your behalf. If that sounds like the kind of intentional, thoughtful, and highly personalized approach you're looking for, I'd love to explore whether we're a match. Want to chat? HOT TOPIC: Passion Needs Patience |
Passion is commonly defined as an intense emotional state—such as sexual desire, love, or anger—whereas patience refers to the capacity to remain calm in the face of delay or difficulty. At first glance, these qualities appear fundamentally opposed: Passion is urgent and consuming, patience restrained and enduring. |
