Hello LoVers,

This week, I had the pleasure of taking a little field trip to iHeartRadio in NYC, where I was a guest on the Passage to Profit Show alongside Dr. Kristine Sickels, author of The Clearest Voice in the Room: How to Speak with Power and Intention at Work.

And let me tell you...She has NAILED her craft. She was beautifully well-spoken, informed, passionate and clear. When she spoke, people naturally wanted to listen.

Not because she was the loud, but because she was clear. That idea is at the heart of her work: Powerful communication isn't about saying more or speaking louder. It's about making sure what you say actually reflects what you think, value and want.

And let's be honest...the same is true in dating. You can talk to someone all day and still never tell them anything real. We communicate constantly while carefully avoiding the very things that would allow someone to truly know us.

We say:

"I'm fine with anything."

"No pressure...I'm just seeing where it goes."

"I don't really care if it works out or not."

But…is that actually true? Are you being honest or are you being easy to like?

Being clear doesn't mean turning the first date into a relationship interview or announcing every expectation before the apps arrive. It means allowing someone to meet the real you.

Tell them you enjoyed the date. Share your actual opinion. Say what makes you feel cared for. Admit when you want something meaningful. Stop feigning indifference about things that matter deeply to you.

You don't need to convince someone to choose you. But you do need to give them enough of the real you to know what and who they're choosing. Your voice won't be right for every person.

But the right person needs to be able to hear the real you.

Where have you been staying quiet or unclear because you were afraid the truth might make you harder to choose?

Hit reply and tell me. Maybe it's time to say the thing + Get in touch to schedule a complimentary 15 minute call to see if my private and personalized Matchmaking service is a fit for you and let's see what's possible.

Singles Spotlight: Is SHE Your Match?

MEN, ages 35-45, in CT/NY/NJ...Are you kind, confident, and emotionally mature? Are you family focused and excited to build a family together?

If this sounds like you, you might be a match for my warm, witty, and grounded client, P. P is the kind of woman who genuinely enjoys her life and is ready to share it with the right man. She's social without being a party girl — equally happy with a spontaneous plan or a cozy night in. Her personality is a natural mix of playful and steady: friendly, funny, emotionally grounded, and easy to be around. She values family deeply, maintains close relationships with hers, and looks forward to building a family of her own.

If you are a good match and are interested in learning more, send me a message!

HOT TOPIC: Be More Confident

If you've ever searched for dating advice, you've seen this line a thousand times. Be more confident. And look, the advice isn't wrong. Confidence really does matter. Research consistently shows that confidence is one of the most attractive qualities we can display. The problem? Telling someone to "be more confident" is like telling them to "be taller." It's not exactly actionable or helpful.

Read about it here and tell me what you think!

TOP 3: Things to Look for Beyond Physical Attraction

  1. Emotional Availability: Can they communicate their feelings, show genuine interest, and make room for a relationship in their life? Someone can be incredibly attractive, but if they're emotionally unavailable or unwilling to be vulnerable, building a meaningful connection can be difficult.

  2. Shared Values and Life Goals: You don't need to agree on everything, but the things that matter most should align. Consider your views on family, lifestyle, commitment, finances, and what you want your future to look like. Attraction may bring you together, but compatible values can help you build a life together.

  3. How You Feel Around Them: Pay attention to how you feel when you're together. A healthy connection should allow room for both excitement and ease. You shouldn't have to constantly question where you stand or change who you are to keep someone's interest.
