Have you ever sent a text, received no immediate reply and somehow ended up questioning the date, the connection...and your entire love life? We've all been there.

When information is missing, our fears and wounds are very willing to fill in the blanks:

Maybe I said too much. Maybe they lost interest. Maybe I completely misread everything. Ah!

But before you let silence write an entire story, ask yourself: What do I actually know and what am I assuming? Has anything actually changed? (Or am I the one who is about the change it by freaking out over a problem that doesn't exist?)

A pause isn't always rejection. People get busy. They process. They have lives happening outside of our dating anxiety... outside of the stories we tell ourselves.

If you want clarity, make one honest move. Send the text. Ask the question. Say what you want. Then stop trying to manage the outcome and allow their response (or continued silence) to give you real information.

One delayed reply is a moment. Consistently leaving you confused is a pattern.

Emotionally safe connections don't require constant interpretation. You should not have to become a detective to understand where you stand. So don't turn every pause into rejection but don't turn every excuse into potential, either. Stay open. Communicate clearly. Let consistency tell you the truth.

Looks like people have been pushing on social media the so-called "Triangle Method" for flirting. TikTok videos on the technique have accrued more than 24 million views along with claims that it is a foolproof method for making someone fall for you. Really? And here I was thinking that good conversation and personality were the key.

TOP 3: Things to Stop Doing if You Want to Find Love

1. Stop chasing people who aren't choosing you: If someone is consistently inconsistent, distant, or unclear about what they want, don't spend your energy trying to convince them. Mutual interest shouldn't require constant pursuit.

2. Stop rejecting someone because the chemistry isn't instant: Not every great relationship starts with fireworks. Sometimes attraction grows as you feel comfortable, understood, and curious about someone. Give a promising connection room to develop.

3. Stop dating from a place of fear: Fear of being alone can make you overlook incompatibility or settle for attention that isn't actually fulfilling. Instead of asking, "Will this person choose me?" ask, "Do I genuinely like who I am when I'm with this person?"
