Hello LoVers,

Just me, or has this week has been seriously emotionally charged? I am feeeelin' it in my work, in the lives of people I care about and, honestly, just in life.

It made me think about how easily we give someone else all the credit (or all the blame) for how we felt around them.

They made me happy.

They made me feel loved.

They made life feel beautiful.

But I challenge you to remember:

You had fun because you are fun.

You felt loved because you opened yourself to love.

It was beautiful because you had the capacity to experience it that way.

People can awaken beautiful parts of us. They can make us feel safe enough to soften and hopeful enough to imagine more. But they didn't create those parts of you. They simply revealed them.

This matters in dating because missing how you felt with someone doesn't necessarily mean they were right for you. Sometimes you aren't longing for the person, you're longing for the joyful, open, hopeful version of yourself that emerged around them.

The best news? That version of YOU is still YOURS.

So when someone disappoints you, a relationship ends or you aren't chosen, don't believe they took your joy, beauty or capacity for love with them. Everything you need to create a life filled with love is already within you.

The right person for you won't be the source of that love. They'll recognize it, nurture it and bring their own love to meet it to make a beautiful little love concoction.

What feeling have you been crediting someone else (or blaming someone else) for that you're ready to reclaim as your own? Reply to this email and let me know.

Chemistry only tells you that there's attraction. Compatibility tells you whether the relationship can actually survive real life.

Singles Spotlight: Is SHE Your Match?

MEN, ages 65-72, in NYC...Are you smart, creative, funny, kind, and emotionally intelligent? Do you appreciate the arts and enjoy the city, cultural travel experiences and the beach?

If this sounds like you, you might be a match for my brilliant, vibrant, genuine, and empathetic client, E. Photography is her passion and creative outlet and she never says no to a night at the theater, a museum opening, or an opera. She divides her time between the city and North Fork where she enjoys swimming, reading, and recharging by the sea.

If you are a good match and are interested in learning more, email me!

HOT TOPIC: Needing Others

Think about the last time something wonderful happened to you. Maybe you received a promotion, finished a difficult project, heard good news about your health, or watched your child accomplish something meaningful. What did you do next? When this happens to me, I know what I want to do. I want to tell someone. I want to share my joy. But posting about it online doesn't give me what I need.

Read about it here and tell me what you think!

TOP 3: Ways to Date Without Burning Out

  1. Date less, but date intentionally: You don't need to be on five apps and talking to ten people at once. Limit how many conversations or dates you take on so dating doesn't become a second job.

  2. Stop treating every date like an audition: Instead of asking "Do they like me?", ask "Do I actually enjoy being around them?" You're evaluating compatibility, not trying to win someone over.

  3. Protect your life outside dating: Keep your friends, hobbies, routines, and alone time. Dating feels much more exhausting when it becomes the main source of excitement, validation, or emotional connection.

Book a call with me to see if I can help you meet your dating goals.
