It’s the holiDAZE and although we’re all extra busy, singles are more active than ever. This is a great time to be intentional about finding that special someone. But here’s something to keep in mind… In a world where swiping and instant gratification (I like to call it “Amazon Prime Dating”) often dominate, the concept of “soft dating” is gaining traction and I LIKE IT. This trend emphasizes slower, more meaningful connections, where conversations and casual outings replace grand gestures or intense commitments right away. It’s more so about building trust and compatibility without the pressure to define the relationship too soon. For singles seeking deeper connections, this approach to dating, if you lean into it, allows you to stay present, enjoy the budding connection and remember that dating is reallllly very much about the journey, not only the destination.

TOP 3: DON'Ts for Dating During the Holiday Season
Don’t get too swept up in the season: Life is, unfortunately, not a Hallmark movie. Real relationships take more than a shared love of ice skating and hot cocoa to last. Try to move at the same pace you would during the rest of the year. You don’t have to do something just because there’s mistletoe hanging above your head.
Don’t date someone for the convenience of it: It’s nice to have someone to snuggle with during cuffing season. But be honest: Are you dating them because you want to spend more time together? Or because you like having someone to spend the holidays with?
Don’t make any big decisions: Dating during the holidays can encourage you to say things you wouldn’t normally say. Wait a few weeks into the new year to see how things are going before you make any major decisions or declarations.
